Philips Radiographic Room Interface

Upgrade Philips X-Ray Rooms with Canon DR in minutes!

RSI interface components are intelligent and transparent to the Philips™ system. They provide switching for Canon exposure control, bucky emulation, all signals necessary for the x-ray system, as well as maintaining factory functionality of the auto collimation system.
Switching is performed by a CAN bus interface controller that communicates with the Philips™ system on the Philips 2.0 CAN bus protocol for mode select, i.e.; table top, table bucky, chest bucky or tomo mode. The interface kit includes a control box with an LCD display that shows the exposure mode and allows the Canon DRto be removed completely from the circuit with the push of a button. The control box makes service and CR work easy to perform.
No modifications to the Philips™ electronics are required with RSI interfaces. All Philips™ components function just as they did from the factory. Technologist training and use of the system is made simple due to fewer changes in the operation of the x-ray system.
The latest addition to our line of interface components is the BU2 style bucky emulator. When an x-ray system is upgraded with Canon DR, the factory bucky is replaced with the new Canon DRplate. Many manufacturers use simple relays to communicate casette and grid signals back to their control systems. The newer Philips BU2 style buckys now communicate these signals via the CAN bus and the Philips system will NO LONGER FUNCTION with these buckys removed.
The BU2 style bucky emulator perfectly emulates the Philips BU2 style bucky. It communicates with the Philips system on the CAN bus, responding to status request messages from the control system enabling full functionality of the Philips system.
